biniou Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Ok, I think this mini-set deserves its own topic. I'm not sure that US members are all aware about its existence. Remember the classic LEGO Space 2 Quote
biniou Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 Also note that there's a "label" on the bottom right corner of the front: Has another set this kind of "label" ? Quote
glenbart Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 The Xmas sets giveaways have 2011 on them, don't know if that is what you meant, the logo is similar but I do not think it is the same. 1 Quote
glenbart Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 A thin chinstrap would have been better, but I'm not complaining, ordered one today. Quote
Migration Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 I would just like to be able to buy one. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Yeah too bad LEGO does not use the old helmet mold anymore. Now that I have my old 6952 Solar Power Transporter set back, I do not have any desire to get this promo However, I can clearly see the demand, especially if it stays eclusive to EU Quote
glenbart Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Read on the news link, someone thinks it may be us/Canada in September. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Read on the news link, someone thinks it may be us/Canada in September. Hmm, potential free set for Bricktober ? Quote
TheOrcKing Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Interesting to note, I believe Lego has reissued all original colors of the Classic Space theme between red, blue, yellow, black, and white over time. MartinP Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Read on the news link, someone thinks it may be us/Canada in September. Hmm... Now I have to decide whether to buy some now or wait to see if they are a promo later this year. Quote
TheOrcKing Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Here is a Brickset review on this exclusive promo. Someone there noted that the little robot is exactly the same from 6931 - FX Star Patroller. Quote
Ed Mack Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Love those sets... Sent from my iPad using Brickpicker Quote
Migration Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Here is a Brickset review on this exclusive promo. Someone there noted that the little robot is exactly the same from 6931 - FX Star Patroller. That was my favorite Classic Space set that I actually owned, although I did modify the front to make it pointier and thus faster, at least in my ten year old mind. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Since 6952 is my favorite space set, that black robot just looks weird without a 2x2 plate as its foot Quote
DoNotInsertIntoMouth Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I don't know why but I am just not a classic Space guy. Just doesn't appeal to me for some reason. Quote
tractorboy Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Thanks for the heads up on this. I would have missed it otherwise. There doesn't seem to be any mention of it on the LEGO Shop at Home site. It only shows up in your cart when making an order. Quote

I received my first one this morning, I did not have opened it yet. The box is so soft to the touch, it's really nice. 1 Quote
Ciglione Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I have two of these... will sell one probably... wondering what I can get for it. Quote
Ciglione Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 A thin chinstrap would have been better, but I'm not complaining, ordered one today. I remember from my youth the thin chinstrap always teared. So this new thicker chinstrap is not a bad thing eventhough it is not original like the vintage ones. Quote
biniou Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Yeah but we would have been far more careful... Quote
jaisonline Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Thank to the original poster who shared. I just picked one up. Too bad I couldn't find a loose with box to save $ set but oh well. Quote
M4x18 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I have two of these... will sell one probably... wondering what I can get for it. Over here they are listed at little over 20 Quote
