chinchy Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 My kids went to the monthly mini build yesterday, and while they were there they picked up the Lego club magazine. In it is a comic featuring Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Green Lantern. He seems to be the main focus of the comic, and not just an incidental character. Makes me suspect that a Green Lantern minifig is going to be released soon? Anyone else see the comic in the magazine? Quote
Huskers1236 Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 You would have to think he would show up sometime. He's too big of a character to have just the exclusive version from Comic Con or wherever it came from. I don't follow comics but even I know who he is and would like to get one as I do have a small collection of Superheroes figures of guys I know of. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 It is about time. According to my geeky-self , he is the ONLY speaking character in the The LEGO Movie that does not have a real life minifig representation Quote
Quacs Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 He was also featured in The Lego Movie (voiced by Jonah Hill), and a pretty hilarious character. I have to think he'll be in a set sooner than later. Quote
njseale Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 I would say you can bet on him on a 2014 DC set. It is just strange at this point not having him. Quote
glenbart Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 What build would go with green lantern though....?.....?.....? What figure do you think they would throw him in with, do you think given like Aqua-woman and the flash he will be thrown in with the caped crusader???? Quote

I would imagine a GL set would include translucent green pieces to build something that his ring is creating, similar to the game, probably something simple like a hammer. I hope we get a space Batman similar to what is in the new game. Quote
glenbart Posted July 2, 2014 Posted July 2, 2014 Is that ring of his some kind of 3D printer then, all I now about GL is what I have picked up on "the big bang theory". Quote

The rings can create any constructs imaginable by the wearers. But the constructs dissapear once the wearers loose their concentration. I do not know why TLG waits this long. The asian fake minifig makers/sellers already have fake GL minifigs in green, blue, red, and even white ETA: the multi color is actually inline with the comic storylines as they have rings from every colors of the rainbow plus black and white. Yeah they have Red Lantern, Blue Lantern, etc Quote

chinchy Posted July 3, 2014 Author Posted July 3, 2014 In case anyone wants to see the comic, I'm attaching the scans. Quote
legodelorean Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Green Lantern would be cool. Just as long as they don't base it off that crapfest of a movie that Ryan Reynolds was in. What a horrible movie. Quote

legodelorean Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 That isn't saying much Yeah. The F4 weren't that great either, but GL was worse. Quote
