Hello to everyone.....My son is an avid lego monster and used to just rip through sets of star wars lego one after the other. Last winter while he was laid up at sick kids hospital for an extended stay he received a Lego Slave Ship as a gift from a child life specialist there. She knew he loved lego and they have stores of it apparently in the hospital for gifting. Anyhow my son having not seen this previously googled it and found it for sale on ebay for hundreds of dollars....way more than it shows on this site actually but regardless, he then decided that he would NOT open it and insisted that I build him a shelf at home to house this and when he came home from hospital he immediately put it on the shelf. By the time he came home from hospital months later he actually had another basketball set and a couple small robot sets that he has also put on the shelf. He now gives more thought to should he open or keep it!! haha..... I love to watch him with lego but I have also decided that there is some benefit to buying some myself and keeping for a rainy day.....it sure seems like more profit that I can make on my savings account that's for sure!! Anyhow......hello to everyone.

Welcome to the site - It sounds like that must be the Jango's Slave 7153. I am sure he is tempted to get in there for that Jango minifig!

At first he was VERY tempted to open it for that reason but all he needed to do was look at the ebay list price and he knew to just leave it alone. It has sat on his shelf since then......maybe come down a couple times to show off to people but otherwise it sits up there!! He knows it's his most prized posession! ......and his reward for the months in hospital!

That is a wonderful story. I have a three year old son who just amazes me everyday with what he does. He knows not to touch "Daddy's toys." LOL. Maybe you can find him a nice used set on eBay of the same set so he can build it and not feel guilty about opening a sealed box. That is what I do. :-)
