Quacs Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Three exclusive (for now) minfigures makes for some great potential gains after retirement...part out window will be small however given its price point. Quote

fuzzy_bricks Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Did the Green Lantern create that plane, if so, why? Can't he fly? Someone more versed in GL comic book lore help me out here. Quote

Most of the time, the constructs created by the GLs are for slamming to their foes, instead of for practical use. The constructs their rings create are based on the individual's imagination. So, Hal Jordan (who was a pilot) can create fighter jets just so he can ram those to the bad guys. Quote
Guest brickcrazyhouse Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 yup GL ... damn ninja'd well now we'll have the complete original JL Quote
njseale Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Sweet. Looks like you get a lot for a 20 dollar set there as well. Quote

The constructs their rings create are based on the individual's imagination. So, Hal Jordan (who was a pilot) can create fighter jets just so he can ram those to the bad guys.I remember one time where Hal Jordan gave a little of his ring power to a war veteran who was missing his legs. The vet managed to create a pair of literal 'phantom limbs' and could walk once more. There were other times where the Green Lantern character could come up with some heavy duty (and detailed) weaponry and vehicles. This plane seems right up his alley although I would have expected the entire thing to be built in translucent green but then again there is a problem in connecting translucent pieces together that has to do with some added bit in the formula. Plus the build looks more interesting this way. Quote
jaisonline Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 In my opinion, this Batman version is just as bad as Scuba Bats. Lego is the new Kenner with so many Batman variations. I'm fine with diff suits for Batman that were in the comics, cartoons, and movies . However, this is now getting nuts but kids will LOVE it. Quote
@rtisan Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Excellent! Except for Batman, he looks horrible, and I mean that, this version is horrible. Oddly enough, Green Lantern looks very good though. 1 Quote

Alfiepops Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Did the Green Lantern create that plane, if so, why? Can't he fly? Someone more versed in GL comic book lore help me out here. He got his ring stolen so he can't breathe in space and therefore got a six year old to design him a spaceship within his budget to battle his sinister purple skinned foe (or at least watch space Batman do his fighting for him). TheOrcKing Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Here you can see a good close-up of Astro Bat's (ha) wing printing on the front. There is some on the back but not a decent image to be found yet. Quote

scuttfarkas Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Nice. A Darkseid maxi-fig would be cool. Come to think of it, a Grodd maxi-fig would be cool as well. Quote
