wilandirene Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Hi I came across a local seller with this for $500. It's complete in box, with manual in good shape. Should I bite for $500? eBay completed listings say it's a good deal but I also worry about a rerelease, etc. Any and all opinions welcomed! Quote
MartinP Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I would get it for $500 or less. It's a good deal because it is value over $700 used. I wouldn't worry about Lego remaking this set again. Quote
NJHitmen Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Assuming it's in good shape, you aren't going to do a whole lot better than that. I'd buy it myself at that price. Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 good price for your own collection...as martin stated, chances of a UCS remake are low Quote
Raykong Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 it's also amazing to look at after you build it - so big it, build it, and then you can always sell it later - you won't lose money that's for sure Quote
Arcanum777 Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I sold mine on EBay for $750 in that same condition - the listing was up for about a day. You will love the build and won't have any issue selling it for at least the price you paid when it is time. Quote
@rtisan Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I`d do it as well, flip it and you can more than likely clear $150+, either that or it`s a pretty good price for your collection. Quote
wilandirene Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Awesome, thanks for all the opinions. I'll go pick it up later today! Quote
Silburned Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I have a local seller as well, complete good condition and manuals but no Box. Asking $500. Thinking I might pick it up for a flip. 1 Quote
MarleyMoose Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I would do it. If you buy it and want to trade it let me know. I have an advert in the BrickTrader section. Quote
Kriterian Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 I guess this answers my question of should I pick up a SSD NSIB for $550. Quote

Congrats on the find! I would do it. If you buy it and want to trade it let me know. I have an advert in the BrickTrader section. Thanks, I bought it. My son and I are still building it (hard to find time lol), I don't think I'm planning to get rid of it any time soon but if I do, I'll let you know. 1 Quote
