I'm new in this 'buisness', but I've reag a lot of blogs an forum-threads in the last cuople days. I'm planing to invest about 2000 Euros or more this year. But I'm not realy sure on what Sets I shuold focus.

I want to buy:

2x SSD; 2-3x HH; 2-3 GE; 2x T1 Volkswagen and 2-3x TB

I don't like the R2-D2 sculpure should I invest in it?

My plan is to buy the sets shortly before they retire or for d good discount and then I'll hold them for minimum three years. On which Set/s should I focus and buy more copys (5 or so).

Excuse me for my bad English.

The sets you've chosen are the common ones people feel will do well in the future.

But no one knows when they will retire. TB came out in 2010 I think; it could be around for another 2 years (like the DS). On top of the 3 years you plan on waiting post EOL, you want to make sure you are fine sitting on product for 5 years.

Regarding a good discount, they will be rare if at all since these sets are all exclusive (I think). Europe had the SSD on sale for May the Force (US didn't). TB, T1, and GE will be unlikely to get any discount on

All the ones you mentioned are good investments.  I would also check local retail outlets for deals.  You can flip these sets on eBay or somewhere else and free up more money for larger sets.

I think your plan looks good. Just diversify and spread risks. Make your own judgement as well. People are as diverse as the different legosets.

Personally I do not mind to invest in creator and city as well. If the sets are special they will do good. Like the city mine and space sets.

Whatever you do. Do what feels good and follow your gut.
