legorunner Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Not LEGO, but a first I've ever seen: we got a box yesterday from a clothing retailer that was clearly reused. Shipped Priority Mail to us but in a Fed-Ex Express box. All of the Fed-Ex Print was scribbled over with a sharpie, an old label was clearly ripped off, and some other parts of the box were taped over with masking tape (not sure what we will find underneath). There is a label inside for someone else, our guess is that its a return that they just slapped a new label on, got out their arts and crafts supplies, then tossed back into the mail. No complaints, it got here on time and hats off for recycling! Quote

raindog Posted December 18, 2020 Posted December 18, 2020 Received two orders from Boscovs today. Both contained 5 Mando Battle Packs. One came well boxed and the other came in a garbage bag. I guess that it all depends on the originating store as to what type of packing service they provide. Quote
BrickLover80 Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 Kohls... At least not a garment bag, I suppose? Oversized box and no packing material. Got nicely banged up. Let's see what the market will be like or if it's a return. Quote

$20 on joe vs dan Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 (edited) Christmas Eve Miracle! No your eyes are not deceiving you...that's a cushioned Box within a cushioned outer box...FROM TARGET There are two minty Slave 1 boxes. Also notice the small bubble wrap envelope plus the air cushions. AND no box cutter stickers and Fragile tape. I am flabbergasted! Edited December 25, 2020 by $20 on joe vs dan 9 Quote

I finally stopped ordering from Target.com because it was either coming in garment bags or it was crushed. I've returned at least four orders from Target in the past two months alone. Quote

Jimking23 Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 Last week I ordered a Treehouse from Walmart. I only ordered one because, I thought there was a good chance they would just slap a shipping label on the Lego box. I was pleasantly surprised when this box showed up. I hope this is what I can expect going forward. It would be nice to buy large sets that don’t get destroyed during shipping. Amazon, I’m talking to you. Merry Christmas everyone! 2 Quote

Bold-Arrow Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 unboxing some best buy orders this morning and some sets are iffy wether they have nasty stickers ( the white ones that are glued on ), clear marks of stickers torn of the box , or seals that were reapplied . at least they call came in boxes. Best buy basically has to be 25% better than other options for me to buy from them, because I assume this is going to happen. I kinda do the same for Zavvi/Iwoot. 2 Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 I am pretty much done buying the one offs of oos sets that pop up on amazon. They are mostly returns that they put back as new . Always crushed , taped , chewed, stickers all over or all of the above . I miss the AWD days . this DD came inside a perfectly packed box 1 Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 I just got around opening my order of Bhz Easter Chicks from Target. Each box has a Target barcode sticker on it 🤦♂️ Quote

Those are hit and miss. Most of my Target orders did not have them. They are not too hard to remove, just time consuming 1 Quote
