thedingman5 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Very pleased to see the Old Fishing Store make it! 1 Quote
minicoopers11 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Old fishing store....I am really looking forward to this. US$99 price point? 1 Quote
fuzzy_bricks Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I was pulling for the fishing store. Nice to see a larger set make it. 8 Quote
feed Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 So sand green tiles or sand green bricks in the production model. 1 Quote
Val-E Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Guess that means we´ll get a UCS BB8 next year too then. Quote
Darth_Raichu Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Is it just me or that old fishing store goes very well with Metalbeard's Sea Cow??? Kind of like the place where Metalbeard would go to relax after a long day smashing Lord Business's bots 6 Quote
Ciaraf76 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 That's a really nice set, congratulations to the winner! Quote
longshot Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I think this is a really nice set and about time we get one that has a broader appeal............ Quote
c_rpg Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 So this is the first Lego Ideas building right (aside from the GBHQ)? I don't know why people even bother sending in Star Wars stuff. It's pretty obvious that they are never going to pick those sets. Quote
Guest TabbyBoy Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 That was a great video, thanks for posting it. My favorite actually was the fishing store and I will be buying one (or a lot). Out of the next batch, I like the Addams Family Mansion but, this means that I may have to hold on to my Haunted Houses until then. I also think that submitting Star Wars sets is futile as I'm sure that LEGO's designers have this theme well covered. Quote
HappyHawkeye Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Nice - this will be a great display piece for the office Quote
DarthBall Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 The Fishing Store was my favorite. Unfortunately this choice might have a negative impact on The Merchant's House which is up for approval in the next review. IMHO, The Merchant's House is a beautiful set I would love to build. Quote
fossilrock Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 (edited) I dig the observatory. I hope that one gets made, as it would make a great piece in a modular city, although it's rather out of place in a modular city setup, since you need a dark sky, and in most downtown areas you rarely see the milky way. Either way, it's a nice looking design. Edited October 6, 2016 by fossilrock Quote
tractorboy Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Very nice set. Hope they do it justice by not shrinking it or skimping on the tiles. 1 minute ago, fossilrock said: I dig the observatory. Blockbuster Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Love the Fishing store, reminds me of a structure from the Popeye Film from the 1980's 2 Quote
longshot Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Id be happy with Voltron, Adams family or Merchants house................. Quote
ISO8T0 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 It will be interesting to see how TLG changes the Old Fishing Store. At 2,160 pieces the OFS is 4 1/2 times larger than the average IDEAS set (~480 pieces). I hope they don't change it at all, bc it is a fantastic model as are other designs by RobenAnne. Quote
1archimedes Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 That's a nice set, and it's nice to see that it's larger than usual, I was worried the ideas sets would always be small. Disappointed for the particle accelerator though. Quote
1archimedes Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I can see this built with scooby doo minifigures on it in my kids bedroom 1 Quote
