TigerG Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) Villa Savoye has been retired for nearly 2 weeks - but United Nations Headquarter is also retired at LEGO Shop at Home EU just now. Edited November 11, 2015 by TigerG 7
Tpkuk Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Technic 42008 marked as retired in EU, was call to check availability yesterday 1
Alpinemaps Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Nice little bit of news this morning. Especially the ISD.
TigerG Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) Friends 41088 Puppy training and 41089 Little Foal both retired LEGO Shop at Home Europe. Ninjago 70753 Lava Falls is gone as well. Edited November 11, 2015 by TigerG
Nick83 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 75054 AT-AT and 75055 Imperial Star Destroyer are gone in US/EU.
stephen_rockefeller Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Both of those sets are sold out, not retired.

Nick83 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I don’t understand the difference between Sold-out and Retired ? It appears as Retired on French store but Sold-Out on US store. http://shop.lego.com/en-FR/Imperial-Star-Destroyer-75055 http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Imperial-Star-Destroyer-75055

Some products have quite a large variation (several months of availability) while some move from sold out to retired at pretty much the same time. I don't know if anyone understands the exact reasons why. I don't even know if the head of TLG knows everything about every set.

This affects a number of things such as stock levels, dates that promotions occur, and product retirement dates. In this case, the 75055 has officially retired in Europe, and people are heavily speculating/hoping that the current Sold Out status on the US/Can website leads to the retirement in North America; finalizing the End of Life (EoL) term thrown around here so often.
No More Monkeys Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) Wasn't JW Raptor Escape "retired" in Europe? As in actually having the page say "retired"? I don't think there is any credibility to "retired" status anymore, at least for Europe From the other hand, RE does say retired in Europe again... Edited November 19, 2015 by No More Monkeys
j-lego Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 (edited) ISD 75055 and AT-AT 75054 are definitely retired in Australia now as well Edited November 19, 2015 by j-lego
TheGallows Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 71205 Jurassic World™ Team Pack Retired product This really surprises me
feed Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 71174 Starter Pack Wii U™ also listed as Retired product, think it's safe to say it's not..
lazuli16 Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 That has got to be the shortest life span for a Lego product.

As lego increases the amount of sets on a yearly basis, maybe there will be some rare sets and themes here and there. I dont see that as a shock, to be honest. Many other toy lines do similar things.
santaends Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 What about the other waves of dimension packs, this is a mistake.

We have 2xVIP day coming up, a black friday and cyber monday swarm, and a holiday season. Those two sets won't be around much longer, I suspect. AT-AT is now retired: http://shop.lego.com/en-CH/AT-AT-75054

JeffProbst Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 This probably means very little as it's a seasonal set which is refreshed yearly but anyway http://shop.lego.com/en-AU/LEGO-Star-Wars-Advent-Calendar-75097

Ah you say that but it was available at Asda in the UK last week, it sold out in 24-48 hours but there's a chance more stock will filter through.
