I've watched the trailer multiple times now, and I find it disturbing that Kylo Ren fries Ewok Village (that big forest blowing up) on the planet Endor after retrieving Vaders Mask.  Not cool.. what's next, they'll whack Jar-jar in Ep8?  JJ Abrams, you've ruined my childhood!! :P

This makes way too much sense.

Sounds possible, but do you really think that George Lucas and Disney would allow innocent Ewoks to be slaughtered in the beginning of the movie and basically ruin it for many kids and parents? I know Jawas were slaughtered off screen on Episode IV, but who wants to see those cute teddy bears burnt up? LOL

Probably TabbyBoy, I've met him and he's definitely down with the Dark Side.

It depends on the Disney Exec approving the slaughter.  If he was about my age and hated Ewoks, then bye bye mini bears..

Rumor has it Warwick Davis is reprising a certain role... perhaps he would be the last of his race???

I do think Finn will be force sensitive and eventually a Jedi.  He has been seen holding Luke's lightsaber in many leaked scenes and Rey seems to perfer her lightsaber staff.

I suspect that's a fake-out. I think Finn is defending himself from Kylo with a lightsaber because that's what he has on him in that moment. I think Rey is the one with the force. When you consider her position on the poster, and in the trailer. It's her.

some war-hardened battle-scared Ewok commander? sounds awesome!

Little folks were used for all sorts of roles. If Warwick is in, it might be for any number of smaller star wars characters.

This is exactly my thought as well.

I speculate Warricks role will be only a few seconds, and wicket will be looking up into the atmosphere watching Kylo's ship fly overhead and screaming "yub yub" as his planet incinerates and his little ewok buds all get roasted.  This will divide SW fandom into two fierce tribes of ewok sympathizers and ewok haters and take the Rotten Tomatoes rating below 75%.

Whether this is accurate or not, not sure....

http://www.idigitaltimes.com/star-wars-force-awakens-future-wont-include-ewoks-were-likely-see-them-episode-7-442476

Ewoks will not be making an appearance in Star Wars: Episode 7 The Force Awakens or in upcoming Star Wars movies.

In a recently translated interview with Star Wars: Episode 7 The Force Awakens producer Kathleen Kennedy, the Lucasfilm president made clear that the Ewoks are unlikely to return in future Star Warsinstallments. Appearing at a Star Wars press conference in Japan, Kennedy was joined Star Wars: Episode 7 The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley. After revealing a bit about the fighting style of Ridley’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens character, Rey, Kennedy fielded a question about upcoming characters that will be featured in the Star Wars Anthology spin-off movies. The questioner specifically mentioned Boba Fett and Ewoks. Here was Kennedy’s response:

Don’t worry: Boba Fett is a high priority among our list, please wait. But seeing how the Ewoks could return is a little harder to imagine. It is quite difficult to give the many stars of Star Wars their own stories on film.
