I have a lot of sets that I have out together and my kids enjoy playing with them as we'll. I was wondering if it would be a smarter investment to take the sets that they no longer play with, sell them and purchase a new sealed set in its place. I have saved all the boxes and in most cases the stickers were never applied and are in excellent condition. Any advice is welcome! Thanks

I have all of last years super hero sets. Almost all of last years Star Wars sets. All but 4 or 5 of the ninjago sets. Most are recently retired and still reasonably priced. It seems the appreciation of the sealed lego sets outpaces the used sets even if you have it all complete. The difference from what I have seen would be between 20-50 dollars in difference between the two as of today. I just don't know if its worth spending a little now for the difference, if any later. I do have a lot of older sets but finding those sealed at this time would not be worth the cost due to the fact that their pricing has probably hit the apex and will just grow based on age at this point. Thanks again for your response and any advice would be great!

What will you do with the new sets...build them? Save them? Let me know.

All the sets that I own have all been opened and built. I buy the sets I like and display them, The old addage of collecting what you like means you cannot lose, even if you dont get the financial return you thought.
