Removing Printing from a brick

Wondering what is the best way to remove printing from a brick?

A little WD-40 will do wonders with most types of ink. Also works well removing sticker residue.

There are several different methods people use ranging from chemicals to light sanding. One of the more common ones, and a method I`ve used myself for years, is Brasso. Get yourself a rag, put on some of it (you don`t need a lot, but more than a dab or two), then rub the surface. Circles I find work best. Takes a bit of elbow grease, but the results are a clean surface. Good luck!

I've had some luck with magic erasers.  Some marker comes right off, some not so much, not sure why.

I did a little experiment with acetone and Lego bricks. I put a little amount on a small 1x1 plate and barely anything happened, then I put a lot more on a different brick and it melted into a glob of plastic. If anyone is going to try acetone, be cautious on how much you use.
