Tom J Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 What are everyone's thoughts on this after EOL? I don't think it's got long left, it's currently 30-35% off here! it has been cheaper but wondering whether to get a few The EOL other sets from the marvel superheroes range seem to be appreciating nicely, but largely due to good minifigures (6866, 6865) (sold all 16 of my 6866 now for 3x what I bought, but think that was largely due to Deadpool and magneto, still hanging onto my 6865s for now) Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 It's only been out for less than a year.....or maybe right at a year. Don't think this is near EOL. Also Discounts are not a indicator of EOL. I think the discount might have something to do with the slightly overpriced msrp. Quote
Tom J Posted May 23, 2014 Author Posted May 23, 2014 Was reading another thread and someone had listed it as end of production, which is why I thought it may be near EOL Quote
Tom J Posted May 23, 2014 Author Posted May 23, 2014 Here - http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/4008-retiring-soon-update-thread/page-60?hl=malibu#entry269453 Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Who knows if those sets listed are done.....I do know that that info came from a Lego employee. Quote
Tom J Posted May 23, 2014 Author Posted May 23, 2014 So my question is more on the popularity of it after EOL rather than EOL date. I don't know much about the series or how popular the minifigures are Quote
stephen_rockefeller Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 We have some super hero fanatics here so I will let them weigh in.......I'm unsure of its potential myself. 1 Quote
jaisonline Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 i think 76007 has potential because of the minifigs (pepper, stark. and the mark 42 armor. i ended up with 2 sets at 35% off from amazon. i'm not crazy about the small shack that's called a mansion though. it should do fine. the icing on the cake would be if it retires before 2 years which i doubt since iron man is an A-level marvel character nowadays. now sure how it's selling though. the 1st hulk set didn't sell well and look how it did (granted it had a short retail life and the maxi-fig). king156 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 hi all just been looking at the lego set 76007 and have seen it on legos site for Quote
Neosphinx Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 It is worth picking up 1 or 2, but as said by glenbart, I don't see this set skyrocketting by xmas. I bought 10 of them togetther with the other superheroes from that series as they will disapear soon. I however am planning to hold them at least 1 year. Quote

glenbart Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 The reason I think the Batwing was still kicking around long after it retired was because there were three minifigures; Batman, Joker and a henchman. None were exclusive, there is nothing there to justify inflated prices. I see, like 7888. Quote
Crustybeaver Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 6863 is a better set than76007 Explain? Quote
Crustybeaver Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I see, like 7888. No nothing like 7888, that had the Tumbler. Quote
Neosphinx Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 6863 is a better set than76007 6863 is a retired product on lego.co.uk 76007 is soon EOL. Stocks run dry in tru.de, pixmania.be and collishop.be Seems 6863 is a "m Quote
Crustybeaver Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 It's quite likely that Tony Stark won't be remade in Lego form for quite some time, this figure alone could be fetching good money in a year or two Quote

glenbart Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Explain? The build is a load of crap in 76006, you get 5 figures, stark and Potts are ok but iron man you get in another set and the other 2 figures are just fillers. Quote
glenbart Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 No nothing like 7888, that had the Tumbler. 2 vehicles and 3 figures that are the exact characters, I would say that is pretty close. Quote
