MEMBER OWNS SET: YES MEMBER HAS BUILT SET: YES
FIRST IMPRESSION | Score: 9
Before you even open the set you know it's a great set. It comes with 5 mini figurines and they are good ones. R2-D2, C-3PO and Luke are the best. You also get 2 light sabers. I got this set for $20, with mini figurines going for at least $4 each the set already paid for itself.
UNIQUE PARTS | Score: 7
There are a lot of lego Star Wars sets so you can get these mini figurines in a variety of other sets. What makes this set great is you get 3 of the main characters and Obi one and a storm trooper. I wouldn't buy the set just for the mini figurines but its still a great set to own.
PLAYABILITY/BUILD EXPERIENCE | Score: 10
WOW! I built this with my 4 year old son and we both love it. It's not too hard to build and he was able to help me out with most of it. It's a pretty sturdy set too. My son is only 4 and loves legos but keeping the sets together is difficult sometimes. This set stays together much longer than any other sets he has. He can fly it around and crash it into things and sty stays together.
VALUE FOR MONEY | Score: 9
I got this set for $20 which I thought was a good deal. You can still find it for less than $30 but its getting more difficult. I wish I would have bought a second one to keep unopened. Lego Star Wars is a great lego theme but as the new Star Wars movies come out in the next few years Obi One and Luke (especially young Luke) will get phased out and sets like this one will likely increase in value.
THEME POPULARITY | Score: 10
Lego Star Wars is awesome. They have great sets and great mini figurines. I wish I owned every Lego Star Wars set.
EXCLUSIVITY | Score: 8
There is another speeder set but this one is more detailed, looks nicer and comes with more mini figurines.
PACKAGING | Score: 9
Anyone who grew up with the original Star Wars recognizes the speeder. It's only in the first movie a few short times but its pretty cool. The box got my attention the first time I saw it and I kept watching the set until it went on sale.
GROWTH POTENTIAL | Score: N/A
I think any Star Wars set has potential but as I mentioned earlier the 5 figurines coupled with the new movies in the next few years will make this a "classic" se to own. They won't be making any more "original" Star Wars sets so I would try and get as many as you can. I definitely think they will increase in value. The great thing about any original Star Wars Lego set is you don't need to be a Lego buff to appreciate them. Hard core Star Wars fans will collect them just for the theme. I think any original Star Wars set has a lot of potential to appreciate in value.
DISPLAY QUALITY | Score: 9
I think this set looks great, especially for a smaller set. You don't have to deal with extra buildings or pieces, the set is one complete piece when put together. I don't display mine but I imagine it would be a great conversation starter if I put mine on my desk at work. It's big enough to get noticed but small enough to display almost anywhere.
CONCLUSION & FINAL ANALYSIS | Score: 8
If I could buy another couple sets for the price I bought my first set I would. I may keep my eyes open for another deal. This set plays well, holds together well, looks great and will definitely appreciate in value in the years to come.

The 8092 Luke's Landspeeder is one of the unique sets that includes R2D2, C3PO, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, and a Sentry Droid. This is a must have for many of the SW dioramas that anyone might make, plus it includes 6 figs which is my favorite part.
This is one of my favorite remake of Luke's Landspeeder. It includes a windshield piece that we haven't seen in too many other Lego sets and also looks more accurate (looks more "sandy" than the older versions which were yellowish).
8092 will be a winner, and I say this because of the large number of figs, as well as it being one of the most recognizeable vehicles in the Star Wars galaxy. On the box, it reads "Special Edition". I am not sure what this means, but I think that it will boost the value of it on the secondary market.
After reading reviews by other people on the Lego website, many people love this set because it "hovers" on smooth pieces on the bottom which makes it much more like a speeder.
I can see this set being $35 around Christmas, and then $40 afterwards which is a decent gain, considering that it was on sale often on Amazon, Target, and Walmart (Walmart had several "Value Bundles that included this).

Luke’s Landspeeder, set 8092, is one of the most bought LEGO sets on EBAY. With five minifigures…Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, C-3PO, R2-D2 and a Stormtrooper, making up the set. This is one of the better versions of the Landspeeder that has been created over the years and will be a solid choice for future resale in my opinion. Maybe pick up a couple, one to build, one to save….
